Former TU Delft students build unique solution for safe Bitcoin storage with asset management services
Rotterdam, Oct. 17, 2023 - Today, Rotterdam-based crypto platform Blockrise, founded and built by former TU Delft students, announces that they are launching a revolutionary asset management service for cryptocurrencies. For the past few years, the alumni have been working on a technically unique solution that stores Bitcoins as securely as if they were stored at a Swiss bank.
The new crypto asset management offers a complete unburdening. Asset management is an optional additional service for Blockrise clients. With crypto asset management, serious investors can invest in cryptocurrencies without any prior technical knowledge, or worries about daily price fluctuations. Asset management also makes it easy to arrange the inheritance of crypto assets.
All customers also enjoy secure storage of their crypto assets. This secure storage was designed by a group of former students from TU Delft and is completely different from the current industry standard. A concern among many crypto investors is that trading platforms often have full access to the crypto assets and their keys. To eliminate this concern, Blockrise has built their platform so that the investor themselves have total control over their assets. Blockrise does not have access to customer assets unless specifically instructed by the customer. Therefore, customer deposits are not on Blockrise's balance sheet. To secure customer deposits, they use the same Swiss security technology as large international banks.
Blockrise believes this new approach will set the standard for security, trust and ease of use within the crypto industry. Blockrise has also obtained registration with De Nederlandsche Bank N.V. (DNB).
Jos Lazet (27), founder and CEO of Blockrise: "We listened to the concerns of the crypto community and designed our platform to offer the most secure and user-friendly experience on the market. We believe our service will become the new benchmark for crypto platforms worldwide."
In addition to wealth management, Blockrise offers personal account management to its clients, and the ability to trade cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum directly on their platform.
Blockrise Capital B.V. has a registration with De Nederlandsche Bank N.V. (DNB) as a provider of crypto services. DNB supervises Blockrise Capital B.V.'s compliance with the Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (Prevention) Act and the Sanctions Act 1977. Blockrise Capital B.V. is not under prudential supervision by DNB or under conduct of business supervision by the AFM. This means no supervision of financial requirements or business risks and no specific financial consumer protection.
