Blockrise is a Rotterdam-based crypto asset manager. We offer highly tailored services to our clients, based on their wants and needs. We offer services such as secure storage solutions, a brokerage for Bitcoin and Ethereum, and revolutionary crypto asset management. Our services are open to private, corporate, and institutional investors alike. With a dedicated team of roughly twenty professionals, we strive to set the standard for crypto asset management.

Your motivation
As the Head of Compliance, you will lead and oversee all compliance and risk functions within Blockrise. You will be responsible for ensuring that our operations and business growth maintain the highest degree of integrity and adhere to all relevant regulations. The fast pace of crypto regulations, like MiCAR and DORA, is an area where you excel and that you are deeply passionate about. You are comfortable to interact with our internal and external stakeholders, making yourself clear and understood.
What will you do
- Develop and oversee the implementation of the compliance program, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Lead the compliance team, providing direction, guidance, and support to ensure effective execution of compliance activities.
- Support regular audits and assessments to monitor adherence to compliance standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that compliance requirements are integrated into the company’s operations.
- Stay updated on the latest regulatory developments and adjust the compliance program as necessary to address new regulations and standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and manage all communication and reporting to these entities.
- Provide training and education to staff on compliance-related matters to foster a culture of compliance within the organisation.
- Investigate and resolve compliance issues, providing solutions to mitigate risks and prevent future occurrences.
What you bring
- WO-level Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in law, finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in compliance, preferably within the financial services and crypto industry.
- Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including AML, GDPR, MiCAR, and other financial regulations.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and growing a compliance team.
- High ethical standards and integrity, with a history of good repute.
- Excellent Dutch and English communication skills, with a collaborative and innovative mindset.
What we offer
- The salary range is €6.500 to €9.500 per month depending on experience, for full-time employment;
- 25 days of annual leave, for full-time employment;
